CREDIT REQUESTS
We have a standardized application form for Credit Requests. Please ensure that we receive the request within 30 days from date of invoice. Bono Optics reserves the right to decline requests received after the 30-day period.
This guarantees the coating against cracking or peeling for the lifetime of the script to a maximum of 2 years. A copy of the original Bono Optics invoice is to be included with any request.
No coating will be stripped by Bono Optics.
MULTIFOCAL WARRANTY FRAMES
All Bono Optics Multifocal warranty claims must (within 60 days from date of invoice) include the lenses to which the patient has failed to adapt, as well as our non- adaptation form, copies of the original order and the replacement order. Bono Optics reserves the right to verify measurements and the other specifications contained in the original order.
Please note that the Bono Optics Digital Multifocal warranty does not include prescription and/or fitting changes. Bono Optics will repair or replace frames damaged by us to a maximum of R2000, determined at cost price. We cannot accept responsibility for patients’ own frames and these will be fitted entirely at customer’s risk. NB: Allow us to provide the best possible care with expensive, unusual or unique frames by pre-warning us and including special fitting instructions.
FITTINGS DUPLICATE ORDERS
Any guarantees can only be provided if lenses and the fitting was done by Bono Optics and no damage due to solvent or acetone use or any lens abuse is obvious.
Plastic and any other lenses will be fitted entirely at the customer’s own risk. We recommend that all nylon fittings be done in a 1.53 or 1.6 material and will not guarantee any other lens materials for this purpose. Bono Optics cannot take responsibility for breakages on lenses during any fitting if the lenses were not supplied by us. Bono Optics will only credit invoices for orders duplicated due to our own error.
CANCELLED ORDERS
No orders for surfaced lenses or cut stock lenses can be cancelled if the lenses have been processed. All cancellation requests must be in writing and faxed or emailed to Bono Optics.

LENS MATERIAL GUARANTEES
Bono Optics guarantee the following material : 1.53 Index for Rimless & Nylon frames against cracking fitted by Bono Optics. (24 Months guarantee) 1.6 12 Months Guarantee 1.67 12 Months Guarantee COATING MANUFACTURING DEFECT GUARANTEES Hard Coat +: 1 year against cracking ARC & ARC Premium: This guarantees the coating against cracking or peeling for the lifetime of the script to a maximum of 2 years. REPLACEMENT OR CREDITS OF INCORRECTLY ORDERED LENSES
Bono Optics cannot take any responsibility for incorrectly placed orders by phone or fax. Our customer service staff will, however, read all phone orders back in order to prevent mistakes. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the order is correct at this time. If such an error occurs Bono Optics will be as accommodating as possible regarding price.
Our Standard Account Terms:
- Payment terms strictly 30 (thirty) days from date of statement.
- All goods and external services offered remain the absolute property of Bono Optics (PTY) LTD until full payment has been received and cleared. Additional payment is required for release of external services including but not limited to websites, graphic materials, flyers, posters and advertising aids.
- The customer acknowledges that should any amount not be paid on due date, the full; amount owing by the customer to Bono Optics (PTY) LTD shall immediately become due and payable without any notice of whatsoever nature, notwithstanding that any amount may, as at that date, not yet be due. The customer shall pay interest on all overdue amounts to a compound rate of 4% per annum above the prime overdraft rate charged by Bono Optics (PTY) LTD bankers to the creditor. The customer further agrees that in the event of its default in any respect whatsoever towards Bono Optics (PTY) LTD shall be entitled to place the customer on ‘stop supply’ without any notice notwithstanding that the customer may have placed an order for the supply of goods prior to the stop supply date.
- In the event of Bono Optics (PTY) LTD instructing its attorneys to collect any amounts, all legal fees and collection charges and tracing agents’ fees as between attorney and client shall be borne by the customer and all payments made shall firstly be allocated towards such fees and charges thereafter to interest and finally to capital.
- The customer and the surety/ies hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court for all actions which may be instituted against one of all for the recovery of any amounts owing to Bono Optics (PTY) LTD.
- In all cases where delivery is by carrier/courier, the carrier/courier shall be deemed to be the customer’s agent and delivery to such carrier/courier shall be deemed to be delivery to the customer.
- No amendment and/or alteration and/or variation and/or deletion and/or addition and/or cancellation of these terms and conditions, whether consensual or unilateral or bilateral shall be of any force and effect unless reduced to writing and signed by the creditor. No agreement, whether consensual or unilateral or bilateral, purporting to obligate Bono Optics (PTY) LTD to sign a written and signed by Bono Optics (PTY) LTD to sign a written agreement to amend, alter, vary, delete, add or cancel these terms and conditions shall be of any force and effect unless reduced to writing and signed by Bono Optics (PTY) LTD or on its behalf which may have induced the customer and/or the surety to sign this document.
- For all purposes under this agreement including giving of any notice, the payment of any amount, the services of any process and for all other purposed arising from this agreement, the customer and the surety/ies hereby choose domicilium citandi et executandi at the physical address of the customer stipulated on the face hereof.
- No relaxation or indulgence granted by Bono Optics (PTY) LTD to the customer and/or the surety/ies shall be deemed to be waiver of any of the rights of Bono Optics (PTY) LTD in terms of this agreement and such relaxation or indulgence shall not be deemed to be a notation of any of the terms and conditions of this agreement.
